Job Description

TotalEnergies Marketing Puerto Rico is a French multinational company, that has presence in Puerto Rico since 2004 by consolidating its presence in the oil, lubricants, and aviation business. We have a large gas station network with over 230 stations, of which more than 200 are open in Puerto Rico and St. Thomas. Most of the gas stations have a wide range of products and services, such as sale of gasoline, oils, auto care products, convenience stores, oil and filter change areas, car wash area, and accepting the fleet card called “TotalEnergies PASS Card.” In addition, in the lubricants market we have a wide range of products and services with ever-higher performance levels to extend the life of your equipment/auto and reduce fuel consumption. Our employees and customers are an integral part of our operation for its success.

To support our operations, we need a USVI Terminal Operator that supports the USVI team to meet our goals, by being in charge of the refueling of the aircrafts using an appropriate vehicle available in the depot and performing deliveries to the service stations. Also, by being in charge of maintaining the rolling and fixed equipment by preventing it from any damage during the operations and by implementing the preventive maintenance program, while performing, but not limited to the following activities:
  • Daily, weekly checks on fixed equipment and vehicles.
  • Preparation of the refueling vehicles.
  • The delivery ticket and all equipment and accessories for the delivery and the quality control during the operations.
  • Driving back and forth the refueling vehicles to the apron and delivery of the aircrafts according to instructions.
  • Registering the delivery ticket into the information system and to carry out some administrative tasks.
  • Receiving and loading of tank trucks.
  • Align day tank to Loading Rack and monitor inventory level.
  • Conducts aviation product quality control & tanks drainage on a daily basis and record results.
  • Assists drivers to access/exit the depot if necessary and assists drivers in tank truck loading/offloading if necessary.
  • Conduct tank dipping for daily, period of ten days and month end inventory and product transfers.
  • Assists in vessel receipt operation, tank dips, sampling.
  • Run Flash Point and abbreviated test before discharge and run FP and API during pumping.
  • Conduct alignment of pipeline during receipts.
  • Conduct API tests on Aviation Products during transfer, especially in the absence of the responsible for quality control.
  • Assist in meter calibrations and Aviation equipment testing.
  • Assist in security aspects especially during no office hours.
  • First responders in case of an emergency (spill, fire).
  • Attend visitors when visited person is not available (radio).
  • Carry over daily inspection and maintenance routines.
  • Conduct monthly inventory of package goods.
  • All other tasks that could be given by the management.

Context and environment

To support our operation while performing the tasks mentioned above, the USVI Terminal Operator will be working on an environment that requires:
  • Work in shifts as the depot operates 24/7, 365 days a year and change of shift on a regular basis.
  • In permanent contact with the Operations Supervisor and all personnel involved in airport operations/activities (VIPA, customers, etc.)
  • Work environment constitutes conditions in which operators will be exposed to the elements, heat, rain, hi humidity, dust, as well as hazardous materials, exhaust fumes & hi noise levels and heavy vehicular and aircraft traffic.
  • Physical demands of the work will require climbing stairs & lifts, pulling & lifting of 15lbs+ above head level on a regular basis and working under stressful conditions during peak hours of the day. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear. Vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.

Additionally, ensure that client deliveries are executed while:
  • Conduct operational tasks for receipt, storage, and delivery of bulk products according to company’s procedures.
  • Participate in the maintenance program execution.
  • Respect the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) program.

Candidate profile

The requirements for this position are as follows:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Take on responsibility related to very sensitive operations.
  • Driving experience in heavy equipment.
  • Good presentation due to direct and frequent contacts with customers.
  • CDL and adequate driver’s license
  • Basics in computers.
