Position Summary

The Utility Support Technician will independently and safely support a variety of department needs throughout the facility.


Essential Functions

  • Clean room duties, including cleaning parts to get them prepped for filter check, part preservation for long term storage and labeling.
  • Receive in part cleaning, including washing and drying parts using the washer / dryer on the dock and moving to next location in shop.
  • Parts delivery / pick up driving with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Super finish support, including loading and unloading super finish bowls per work instructions, using extreme care, assisting in testing of equipment to maintain proper settings, running multiple bowls with different requirements and maintaining inspection records and paperwork, as needed.
  • Hardness testing duties, including pre and post hardness tests, verifying that the hardness tester is properly setup, the indenter holder is properly seated in the plunger, the correct indenter is installed for the scale to be tested and that the indenter is free from defects and qualify that the tester is operating properly before making checks.

Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Delivery/truck driving experience, forklift operation and shipping/receiving experience strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation
$35000 - $45000 / year

Compensation is paid hourly and may be adjusted based on level of experience, overtime and shift.
