UPP Global is looking for one or more Weekday Valet Parking Attendants for our our UVM Medical Center location in Burlington, VT. This person will be the front-line to our customers while parking their cars in a professional and responsible way.

Position Quick Facts:

- Wonderful Full-Time opportunity to work at Burlington's UVM medical campus as a Valet Parking Attendant with a Part-Time schedule that includes some 5pm to 9pm shifts as well as some 1pm to 9pm shifts. The possibility for full-time hours is likely for the reliable new hire that proves dependability within the initial few weeks.

- Earn up to $20/hr (combined base hourly wage and occasional cash tips),

- Starting base wage is dependent on experience and ranges from $14 to $16 hourly. Also, dependent on experience is job title: The hired person may assume a shift leader, job title and role, possibly even a supervisor function; in the case of the latter, the base rate could be higher. Base pay may be raised upon positive performance review, 90 days after hire date.

- When working an average 30 hours or more, the employee will become eligible for our full benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests
• Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, parkers, co-workers, and clients
• Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival.
• Runs at high speeds to park and retrieve vehicles
• Assists guests with general questions such as directions, amenities of the facility, and other inquiries as needed.
• Secures all keys on a belt clip or in the locked key box
• Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
• Consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of the vehicle, damage survey, and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
• Other duties as needed by direction of the Facility Manager.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
• Ability to perform preventative safety procedures such as including safe lifting guidelines
• Follows site-specific safety and security procedures
• Uses only equipment trained to use and operates all equipment in a safe manner
• Reports all accidents and incidents observed to Facility Manager immediately
• Reports all potential hazards and safety concerns to Facility Manager
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR one (1) month related experience and/or training; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• The ability to operate manual transmission driving skills is a plus
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• For insurance purposes, must be at least 18 years of age and willing to undergo both a criminal background check and driving record history (MVR) check
