Position Summary: Provide assistance to the clinical team with vascular procedures within the vascular center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics
• Prepare and position patient for diagnostic vascular imaging procedures
• Perform vascular ultrasound imaging and assist in specialty procedures in all areas of vascular surgery
• Explain procedures to the patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation
• Prepare images for reading by radiologist or RPVI physician
• Responsible for assisting in promotion of a culture of service excellence in imaging and patient care that encourages quality service

• Responsible for assisting in stocking of supplies and sanitizing clinic.

Qualifications:

• Must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform all vascular ultrasound procedures
• Must maintain current knowledge of imaging trends, techniques, protocols, procedures, and maintain skills on equipment to perform exams throughout the practices.
• Must demonstrate understanding of patient safety initiatives by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures as required..
• RVT Registered Vascular Technologist or RVS Registered Vascular Specialist credentials required
• Minimum two years-experience in vascular ultrasound
• BLS required

Education/Experience:

Completion of an educational program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARDMS or CCI completion of clinical hours and studies applicable to test for RVT/RVS certification if not currently RVT/RVS registered, RVT/RVS registry certification preferred.

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
