POSITION SUMMARY

Engineer to lead our VAVE (Value Added, Value Engineer) initiatives and help us grow and scale and continue our tradition of success. The VAVE Engineer is responsible to organize and prioritize VAVE projects and drive design and development activities to achieve implementation working with purchasing, suppliers, quality team, and manufacturing to succeed. This position is a leadership position concentrating on identifying new VAVE opportunities for implementation.

Essential Functions:

· Prioritize, develop, and process the VAVE initiatives.

· Generate cost savings ideas through various activities (e.g.: benchmarking).

· Develop individual workplans through cross functional engagement.

· Track the technical and financial status of each VAVE.

· Communicate status of each VAVE on a regular basis.

· Create CAD models, drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials for new designs.

· Act as a liaison between Engineering and other departments/personnel, suppliers, etc.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Competencies:

· Technical Knowledge – mechanical, electrical and structural systems. Perform mathematical computations to design specifications and components.

· Leadership – people skills, initiative, staff development and mentoring.

· Problem Solving – troubleshooting issues and facilitate root cause analysis.

· Team Building – develop positive relationships across the organization and platform.

· Communication – verbal & written (bi-lingual Spanish desired) and collaboration.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: B.S. Degree (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering)

Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an individual contributor in VAVE engineering

Computer Skills: 3D CAD proficiency required. MS Office Suite

Certificates & Licenses: Recognize the Quality Management System

Other Requirements: Experience using ERP and CRM programs desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
