About our group:


This position is within the Seagate Longmont SOC Verification team supporting leading-edge Hard Disk Drive custom ASIC controller development. The team develops and executes a SOC verification plan with the goal of first-time-right production silicon enabling fast time-to-market productization. In addition to general verification efforts, the Longmont Verification team takes a leadership role in defining and driving Seagate’s VLSI verification methodology. We are seeking a highly motivated hands-on verification engineer to join our SoC verification team. This is an entry-level position.

About the role - you will:


  • Plan, create, and execute tasks for SoC design verification
  • Develop random constrained testing with SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Develop test-benches, reference models, and tests scenarios.
  • Document and implement verification plans.

About you:


  • BS or MS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excel in a cross functional team setting.
  • Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • Critical thinking skills creating and executing innovative solutions for complex problems.

Your experience includes:


  • Classroom or practical experience using hardware languages (Verilog and/or VHDL).
  • Understanding of OOP languages (C++, etc.) and related techniques.
  • Understanding of embedded microprocessor-based systems and associated peripherals.
  • Introduction to SystemVerilog and UVM verification methodology.

Colorado's 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) requires we inform you of the estimated salary range for this position: $76,500 – $84,500. The actual range is based on fair market value of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job, level of education, and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
