Stellar Opportunity for Small Animal Veterinarian

A position has opened at Best Friend’s Veterinary Center in Oak Harbor, Washington. We are seeking the right person to join a compassionate team of pet care providers. Our award-winning multi-doctor practice has been serving the Whidbey Island community for over 40 years. Unapologetically advocating for the highest quality care for our best friends.

We will provide you with the opportunity for growth in knowledge and confidence while being compensated Veterinarian. We are invested in your success. We have honed our skills by mentoring, over sixty preceptors from as far away as Japan. We are partnered with Washington State University as an official preceptor site.

Our clinic is exceptionally well equipped with innovative diagnostic instrumentation and equipment which include, but are certainly not limited to: Surgical laser, therapeutic laser, CryoPen, tonometry, voice dictation, heated exam tables, hot line fluid warmers, platelet rich plasma (PRP), KOWA portable slit lamp, orthopedic surgical equipment.

  • Devote yourself to the culture of preventive care and Optimum Wellness Plans.
  • Adopt and execute new veterinary standards and guidelines
  • Partner with clients as an advocate for the pet to plan follow-up visits, provide home-care instructions, and education to ensure the lifelong health of their pets.
  • Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
  • Foster an effective veterinary support team by communicating medical standards, ethical practices, and your veterinary knowledge and experience.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state of WA prior to their start date.
