Veterinarian Receptionist for Natomas Veterinary Hospital

Natomas Veterinary Hospital is a growing practice transitioning into new innovative hospital that is adapting to the needs of the ever-changing community. We are looking to expand our staff with experienced receptionists looking for a Full-Time opportunity to showcase their skills and continue to grow with an innovative practice that genuinely cares for all of their patients like our own!

We are looking for a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our animal care team. We have a small front staff in which you would work closely as a team. Candidates pursuing a career in veterinary medicine at any capacity are encouraged to apply for potential cross-training opportunities. Excellent customer service and computer skills are required.
Veterinary Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities

• Check-in animal patients
• Gather and certify pet and owner information
• Manage a multi-line phone system, relaying messages correctly.
• Manage multiple avenues of client communication (App, texting, email, phone calls, etc) with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
• Maintain records
• Schedule appointments
• Process payments
• Prepare prescriptions and explain instructions
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed

Veterinary Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications

• Positive, friendly attitude, and ability to maintain composure in emergency or intense medical/client situations.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in Veterinary position
• Experience with EVet a plus
• Customer service skills
• Basic math skills and computer literacy
• Comfortable working with animals
