POSITION SUMMARY :
Reporting to the CEO, the role of the Vice President Human Resources (VP HR), is to contribute to the growth and development of this organization's business through the establishment of a world-class human resource function that partners with executive leadership to recruit, develop and retain great people that embody TEAL’s core values. The VP HR will work closely with executive leadership to develop talent, organizational structures, succession plans, and systems to support our people.

This position will lead the continued development of a world-class, efficient human resources function including policies, systems, programs and practices supporting TEAL’s performance-based culture that supports our mission and embodies our core values. This hands-on professional will be as adept in the strategic implications of planned growth as in the day-to-day application of consistent motivational policies and practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
    • Be a trusted business partner to the CEO.
    • Build, where appropriate, and direct the total company-wide human resource function including compensation and benefit programs, departmental budget, recruiting, competency modeling, training, employee retention, record keeping and automated systems to support these functions.
    • Develop and manage new reward and retention programs including executive compensation and bonuses.
    • Continually review, and when appropriate, recommend enhancements and/or modifications to the Company’s benefit programs.
    • Facilitate the continued development of the corporate culture, positioning the Company for profitable growth and operational excellence.
    • Benchmark best practices and, where necessary to ensure achievement of the business strategy and consistency, modify human resource programs and practices.
    • Review and, where appropriate, assist in the design, formulation and establishment of organizational structures that support corporate growth strategies and fiscal objectives.
    • Work with the CEO to ensure appropriate compensation programs are in place and all regulatory requirements are met including timely and accurate reporting.
    • Develop and implement a formal and pro-active talent acquisition and development program including planning, guidance and programming to enhance career development for high-potential employees and succession preparedness across the Company.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive, efficient, human resources, data system creating a functional, integrated and scalable corporate resource.
    • Assist in the overall effectiveness of the organization by working closely with, and providing counsel to, executive leadership in resolving employee issues and ensuring that the human capital of the enterprise is optimally developed.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
    • Keep the Chief Executive Officer and other key management informed of human resource activities, trends and planned initiatives.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS :
    • EDUCATION
      • Bachelor’s degree is required with an emphasis on human resource management, organizational development or a related discipline, preferred. An advanced degree is preferred but not required. An advanced degree, MBA or equivalent experience is desirable.
    • LEADERSHIP
      • Possess a high level of business acumen with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
      • Comfortable working as a leader in a small HR organization – able to roll up sleeves and get things done and leverage supplier relationships.
      • Provide a proactive and focused leadership style that embodies absolute integrity and dependability.
      • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and respond to change resourcefully
    • COMMUNICATION
      • Able to effectively communicate and develop relationships with the company’s functional departments.
      • Possess the interpersonal skills to relate to executive leadership regarding difficult and/or complex issues.
      • Generate excitement and commitment from employees and develop relationships with leadership to advance the success of the company.
      • Capable of establishing rapport, building credibility and creating partnerships at all levels.
    • TECHNICAL
      • Experience in developing and using HRIS
      • Possess strong problem solving skills and a focus on metrics that will increase performance and retention.
      • Be knowledgeable of all HR compliance requirements and be able to skillfully navigate compliance issues to a successful resolution.
      • Experience in developing succession plans and implementing leadership development programs.
