The Virtual Sales Representative’s goal is to achieve activity targets on assigned territories across primary and specialty care Healthcare Professionals and meet all relevant standards as set by Ashfield and Regional Sales Manager or Manager, Call Center Operations.

What will you be doing?
  • As a disease state subject matter expert, the Virtual Sales Representative (Lead Validation Representative) will support the identification, education, and triage of validated Healthcare Professional customers to become opportunity targets
  • Profile and manage a targeted list of healthcare professionals, provide disease state education and identify opportunities for additional engagements with partner team(s)
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the relevant disease state to facilitate discussions with Healthcare Professionals and their treatment teams.
  • Demonstrate effectiveness working independently and in team environments.
  • Establish phone presence; commanding & disarming, ability to create rapport, network, build, and maintain productive business relationships.
  • Demonstrate clinical and technical skills.
  • Leverage and use customer networks, resources, and tools via phone/web to expand connectivity, reach and interest across stakeholders.
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive opportunities to create access, develop the urgency to treat, and leverage programs/resources to drive educational demand for appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Engage targeted healthcare professionals in in-depth informational communications in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Verify and complete required data entry including details of the target’s responses, notes and any follow through actions in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain call productivity and metrics goals
  • Meet or exceed daily call goals/KPIs to optimize time and maximize the achievement of objectives.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to customer needs and questions, thereby ensuring acceptance of, or agreement with a “call plan” objective.
  • Maintain the required program disease expertise.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the program disease state and ensure clear, concise and accurate communication of disease information with target audiences using proper medical terminology.
  • Successfully complete the program training (self-study, testing, field work and classroom training) and meet training completion expectations
  • Effectively communicate with the Regional Sales Manager and the Client Regional Sales Director(s) and Client Field Representative(s) on project’s progress.
  • Create and maintain a positive impression with the Client and the Client’s customers.
  • Execute program strategies in compliance with Federal Healthcare Program requirements, FDA’s promotional regulations, and program policy.
  • Must safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following the guidelines set forth in the Privacy and Security Rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
What do you need for this position?
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Previous sales experience with a proven track record is required
  • B2B sales experience is strongly preferred
  • Virtual sales experience is preferred
  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical experience in Rare Disease is preferred
  • Driven, motivated, enthusiastic, and dynamic individual
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong clinical aptitude as demonstrated by documented sales results
  • Ability to learn scientific information and be able to educate other people on it
  • Strong time-management
  • Team player
  • Computer literacy and tech savvy
