West Central Behavioral Health is seeking applicants for a full time Vice President of Clinical Services.

West Central Behavioral Health, the non-profit community behavioral health center serving lower Grafton County and Sullivan County, New Hampshire, is embarking on a four-year, transformational effort to become a federally-recognized Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic model of services and payment. This will enable West Central to continue to provide high quality, person- and family-centered mental and substance use disorder services to underserved individuals of all ages, including our veterans, regardless of their ability to pay.

As part of this transformation, the VP of Clinical Services will have dedicated time to support the agency's increased emphasis on data-driven decision making (on both an individual client level and on a program operations level) and to expand the scope of agency services.

Responsibilities: (partial list):

  • Accountable for the delivery of efficient, safe and high quality care that meets regulatory requirements and promotes a positive client experience.
  • Oversees the clinical service delivery, supporting staffing patterns, supervisory structure and other resources to ensure that program goals are achievable and fiscally viable.
  • Develops annual budgets, working with the CEO and CFO, ensuring that accurate staffing patterns and other anticipated expenses are included.
  • Uses data from a variety of sources to inform business decisions related to clinical services, program structure, allocation of staff resources and agency priorities.
  • Tracks and evaluates workload volumes of their staff and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Leads an annual review of past year’s training program and develops the upcoming year’s plan, ensuring that the scope and depth of training needs within the agency result in identified trainings and/or presenters.
  • Participates in necessary community stakeholder meetings, representing the needs and interests of the agency.
  • Provides leadership that assures the recruitment and retention of a high-performing team of clinical staff.
  • Plays a leadership role in quality and performance improvement initiatives and incorporates best practices within the clinical operations.
  • Serves as an active member of the Executive Leadership Team, providing support and assistance to colleagues in achieving organizational goals and advancing ongoing efforts to continually improve the executive leadership team to be a high-performing team.
  • Master’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • A NH license or NH license eligible in that respective discipline is required
  • At least 8 years of clinical experience and 3 years of progressively more advanced administrative experience, the latter may be in conjunction with the clinical experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn necessary computer and technical skills essential to the position and Agency needs
