Position Summary:

Sonexus Health has established itself in the marketplace as a partner of choice to the pharmaceutical industry to provide best-in-class support for patients along their on-boarding journey. As the leader of Sonexus Health, the Vice President will lead a multifunctional team including business development, operational experts, pharmacy professionals and provides direct leadership to FUSE, Cardinal Health’s in house technology organization, Human Resources, Finance, Training, and other key support functions. The leader will have full P/L accountability, responsibility to develop a growing team and a deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement, managed care, and specialty pharmacy operations.

In addition to client facing responsibilities, building, and leading white glove customer service models and driving strong financial performance, the Vice President will develop an internal employee-centric culture, attracting, retaining, and developing talent at all levels in the business. Further, this role will role model collaboration and strategic partnering with the technology operations and product management functions.

Sonexus is a pharmaceutical services business that resides within the Cardinal Health Biopharma Solutions group within Cardinal Health.

This role reports to the Executive Vice President, Strategic Sourcing & Manufacturing Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed annual financial budget for both top line revenue and operating earnings
  • Develop and operationalize technology enabled hub services with product first orientation
  • Lead and foster strong alignment and collaboration with our information technology – FUSE business
  • Define a strategy and vision for future growth which includes an in-depth understanding of the market and future investments required
  • Rally the team and drive the execution of the strategic plan
  • Work across the Pharma Segment to identify opportunities to unleash the full potential of Cardinal Health’s suite of offerings
  • Lead, mentor and develop a staff of 6 direct reports and 600 total employees; build relationships across the business to maintain and enhance employee engagement, retention, and office culture
  • Maximize customer and patient satisfaction by aligning complex solutions and services to key client initiatives
  • Partner with clients and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of white glove customer service to patients and program adherence
  • Facilitate and lead meetings with the call center management team to ensure timely completion of client deliverables and SLA adherence
  • Continually identify and lead projects to improve performance and increase efficiencies
  • Lead and collaborate within the Biopharma Solutions Group commercial team and business development team to identify and drive expansion opportunities; participate in and lead client interactions
  • Mange cross-functional, highly matrixed teams; communicate regularly with internal executive teams
  • Manage labor and non-labor budgets and expenses
  • Utilize broad and deep business knowledge to develop innovative practices, policies, and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of departmental strategies and apply expertise to achieve financial and operational objectives
  • Monitor trends in policy, patient services, emerging channels, and innovation to inform proactive changes to access and affordability programs
  • Make decisions, often difficult and/or unpopular, which support and drive strategy; influence others to support the decision
  • Support a culture of learning, smart risk-taking and experimentation within your team, partners, and clients

Qualifications:

  • 15 years of commercial, customer service, operations and/or account management experience in a relevant industry
  • Intimate understanding of patient journey, patient services, and the segments where patients can fall from the journey
  • Experience in the technology and healthcare sectors
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical brand and patient services organizations
  • Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills; organized and self-motivated
  • High attention to detail and ability to detect inconsistencies
  • Passion for growing businesses
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare reimbursement and managed care across both medical and pharmacy benefits
  • Strong command of the English language, grammar, style, and logical progression; ability to write in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner
  • Strong ability to develop relationships internally and externally
  • Excellent planning, budget forecasting, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel 40 percent
