Waiter NA-02 Job at US Army Installation Management Command
Duties
- Duties are performed independently in accordance with accepted trade practices and guides.
- Waiters are assigned stations by the supervisor and given any special instructions necessary.
- Take orders placed by guest for alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages and food items from menus.
- Required to be fully familiar with all food items available and all beverage items available for guest consumption.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Satisfactorily complete all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 to include a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
- Satisfactorily complete a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours annual refresher training.
- This position is eligible to receive gratuities (tips) based on the type of event(s) and performance.
- The availability to work rotating shifts which may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods. Continually lifts and carries items weighing up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 20 pounds.
Qualifications
- Meet state/local age requirements for serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment. (Age 18 no later than 2 weeks after submitting a completed application packet).
- Possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change.
- Be able to communicate effectively in English.

This position is a Flexible (Flex) position and there are 0 guaranteed hours per week. Flex employees are not entitled to leave or benefits. There is no upper limit to the number of hours a flexible employee may work (subject to overtime obligations and work scheduling requirements).
