Waitstaff - Independent Living - 4:30P-8:30P
The primary purpose of this position is to provide quality, efficient table service in the dining room in accordance with established policies and procedures and/or specific directives from the Director of Dining Services.
- Sets up and resets tables throughout meal service.
- Assists in plating of salads and desserts for dining room service.
- Stocks wait staff station.
- Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.
- Answers pertinent questions about menu items.
- Maintains sanitary conditions by thoroughly cleaning assigned work area.
- Restocks buffet tables during dining room service.
- Cleans tables, chairs, serving line, and wait staff station as assigned.
- Assists residents with needs in the dining room.
- Maintains professional but friendly relationship with residents.
- Takes residents’ meal orders, places orders with kitchen and delivers meals accurately, efficiently and in a pleasant manner.
Job Requirements:
- Previous wait staff experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English language in understandable manner.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with the aged and infirm, utilizing a helpful and pleasant attitude.
- Organized with the ability to relate to residents and to manage staff under variety of situations.
- Must have the ability to maintain a friendly, courteous, helpful attitude with residents and visitors.
