Position Overview:
The ReStore Warehouse/Online Sales Associate will support the Warehouse and Online Store Administrator in tasks associated with the online store and warehouse organization. A key goal for this position is to support the acceleration of online store sales growth by completing tasks that increase the volume of inventory for purchase online. This is a vital role positively influencing the ReStore bottom line.
Primary tasks for this position will include preparing product for sale online and customer service related to sales and pick up coordination. Auxiliary tasks related to this role will include product stocking, inventory counting, general warehouse upkeep, and supporting volunteers.
Responsibilities:
Online Sales Coordination
  • Prepare products for sale received from vendors and our donation pick-up team.
  • Learn best practices for photographing items and post items for sale to the online platform within 48 hours of arrival.
  • Develop a mentality to “comp-shop” online to find competitive pricing and fairly price items that arrive for sale.
  • Process purchased items and stage for curbside pickup.
  • Support volunteers through engagement and clear direction during their shifts
  • In collaboration with the Warehouse and Online Sales Administrator, mark down items that have not sold in a pre-determined time frame
General Warehouse Responsibilities
  • Assist with warehouse inventory stocking when product is received from direct vendors.
  • Assemble and prepare new in box furniture to be posted to the online store.
  • Assist in keeping the warehouse Clean and organized, including disposing of trash, recycling and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Engage in appropriate communication channels to stay informed when the Warehouse and Online Store Administrator is out of office
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in an effort to learn in an evolving business environment
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, including resolving customer concerns
  • Ability to communicate in an effective manner
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; effective with diverse audiences
  • Proficient with computer programs, including MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work with independently when necessary
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required. Forklift training will occur within three months of hire.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • 1-year minimum relevant work experience in a retail or warehouse environment
  • Aptitude for independently following written instruction booklets for product assembly
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • This job operates in an open, warehouse retail environment
  • This position is very active and requires consistent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
  • This employee must frequently lift, move, and/or load items over 50 pounds with mechanical assistance and/or a team lift
Schedule
  • 40 hours per week, Tues-Sat
  • Schedule may adjust depending on the needs of the business; scheduling flexibility required
Starting Salary Expectations:
Minimum $17.00 per hour to wage range midpoint of $20.21 per hour. Placement will generally not exceed the midpoint based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full wage range is $17.00 per hour to $23.80 per hour.
