Summary/Objective

Family-owned and operated for five generations, Stauffer Glove & Safety, a distributor leader in the safety and PPE products industry is looking for an experienced box truck driver to join our team in Red Hill, PA.

This individual will be responsible for delivering product to local customers in a timely manner. Responsibilities include preparing product for shipment and loading the truck. Accurately pulling all orders daily and planning local deliveries. In addition, this position will perform picking, packing, shipping and receiving duties within the distribution center when not on the road making deliveries. This job operates in a warehouse environment, routinely using standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, rolling ladders, and other material handling tools.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. Shift times are based on business need and specific to each branch location.

Physical Demands

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift to 65 lbs., climb ladders, and work on material handling equipment such as forklifts and other moving apparatus.
• Work in an uncontrolled temperature environment and in a controlled temperature environment.
• The position requires that an individual can obtain a medical certification according to DOT regulations and must maintain the certification in order to perform the essential duties of this position.

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum High School degree or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a box truck or similar delivery vehicle.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and able to operate large vehicles (Standard Vans to 24’ box trucks)

Preferred Education and Experience

• Prefer 2 or more years’ experience large distribution inventory environments.
• Knowledge or experience working with a warehouse management system.
