Hunter Hamilton is partnered with one of the nation’s leading wholesale beverage alcohol distributors in search of a Warehouse Supervisor for their Chino Distribution location. This is a Direct Hire position working Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with occasional need for flexibility and a salary range of 65K to 80K DOE.

The Warehouse Supervisor will lead all aspects of warehousing operations, manage warehouse employees, company safety processes, and ensure all company SOP’s are being followed. We are looking for someone who will plan and coordinate activities of workers engaged in receiving, picking, loading and shipping alcoholic beverages products. The role will be responsible for ensuring all Key Performance Indicator goals are being met.


Crucial Duties and Vital Responsibilities:


  • To ensure that inventory of YMCO physically exists and that the stated quantities of inventory are accurately stated in their various conditions and their various locations. Communicate and coordinate timely receiving, organization, and storage of products in warehouse.
  • To build standard operating procedures (SOP’S) to ensure products are received, put away and shipped accurately.
  • Establish a strong inventory control presence in our distribution operations that acts as a deterrent against theft and procedural misconduct.
  • Investigate inventory shortages and discrepancies and correct them. This would include the following daily activities: Reviewing “variance” and “No Stock” reports to locate items such as receiving errors, shipping errors, letdown errors, cycle and walk-off miscounts, keypunch errors, system errors, failed upload, no uploads, orders shipped but not purged, erroneous credits, pre-receivings, received twice, and orders shipped twice on the system
  • Conduct cycle counts and product walk-offs to ensure product location accuracy.
  • Helps with the preparation and distribution of OS&D’s
  • First line supervision of the warehouse floor operations
  • Be responsible for operations, ensuring that schedules and performance requirements are met, and system resources are used effectively.
  • Handles staffing, development, and performance management programs for warehouse crew
  • Carries out compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations.
  • Inspecting warehouse facilities and equipment for job readiness and safe operation.
  • Scheduling workforce to match the business needs and accomplish company goals.
  • Conduct safety meetings with crew.
  • Supervise all activities to achieve goals of the company.
  • Coordinate with other members of management to assure a smooth flow across shifts.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Willingness to work flexible hours in order to get the job accomplished.
  • Ability to adapt to change easily and relate to people
  • Promote ongoing best-in-class customer service throughout all positions in warehouse operations.
  • Other duties may be assigned by management

What are we looking for?


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics Management and/or equivalent is helpful.
  • At least 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years’ demonstrated experience in supply chain, consumer product goods or distribution industry.
  • Experience in leading union and non-union employees.
  • Strong planning, organization and analytical skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
  • Solid understanding of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

Some Additional Helpful Skills:


  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Lean or Six Sigma process experience.
  • Prior experience in wholesale distribution.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
