ITO EN Hawaii is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee and control all operations and functions of Warehouse department. Analyze the work methods and procedures in the departments, and constantly improves accuracy and efficiencies as products flow into and out of warehouse. Monitor and track expenses and costs, and develop new processes to minimize overtime and temporary help, as well as other expenses.

• Develops goals and sets targets for the warehouse department. Works with Distribution Manager to develop procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Oversees and ensures the department completes their safety training/retraining as necessary.
• Reviews and improves performance standards for warehouse staff and evaluates job performance, productivity and accuracy.
• Analyzes and improves operations concerning early morning start-up, morning versus evening load prep, preloading box trucks, load prep area, and damaged product disposition.
• Develops system for product storage utilizing multiple warehouses, for improved organization, effective product rotation, and a sense of order.
• Controls inventory by coordination with purchasing and production.
• Researches and prepares a cost analysis for purchase of new/used/ equipment or for costly repairs
• Analyzes staffing needs, labor usage, and makes appropriate recommendations.
• Develops Standard Operating Procedures for Warehouse.
• Coaches and develops Warehouse staff drafts and issues employee counseling, corrective action and disciplinary actions and submits documents for review to HR prior to issuing.
• Oversees the work schedules, reviews and approves or denies time off requests, overtime, temporary help.
• Plans and conducts department employee meetings to ensure timely and proper communications.

Candidates must be experienced in training, coaching, correcting and evaluating workers, conducting basic forklift pre-checks to ensure equipment is in safe running order. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: verifying and accounting for orders and inventory, meeting inventory needs, timely completing all documents as directed, preparing loads for deliveries, keeping work areas organized and products sorted as required, and checking that all daily warehouse opening or closing procedures are completed.

High school graduate, college preferred. Five to seven years warehouse/inventory/delivery experience required, preferably in the food and beverage industry. Experience/knowledge in heavy delivery equipment is highly desired. Supervisory experience also necessary. Must pass criminal background check.

Forklift certification necessary, and CDL desirable.
