The warehouse operator is responsible for the process of selecting goods and materials, load pallets and drive a fork truck to move loaded pallet(s). Load or unload trucks, perform shipping, and receiving activities of all internal inventory.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Successfully complete DOT and IATA training required for product shipping
  • Operates fork truck, stand-up stacker, and other lifting/picking equipment in a safe manner
  • Process both electronic and manual inventory/materials pick requests
  • For customer orders: picks, verifies quantity and lots, and packs and weighs materials or products and records weight in preparation for shipment
  • Repackaging of raw materials as per customer order requirements
  • Performs required daily, weekly and monthly cycle counts as required by Inventory Manager
  • Must follow all shipping and receiving operations according to SOP's
  • Should be able to demonstrate knowledge of same and train others as necessary
  • Controls and maintains documentation of Pharmaceutical Raw Material and in process inventories
  • Controls and documents weekly inventory to assure FIFO
  • Maintains a tracking system of all material that requires approval and retest dates
  • Assist production personnel with products packaging from storage tanks
  • Assist production personnel in recovery processes to ensure FIFO and maintains tracking records through final steps
  • Reviews and maintains cGMP in all shipping, receiving and storage area
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
  • Open delivered shipments and notify appropriate department / individual
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of one year chemical plant and shipping / receiving experience.
