Summary: Performs all warehouse duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Prepares shipping tag/label with proper ship to address.

• Picks order by reading sales order document/ERP handheld (part number, location, quantity, special instructions, etc.).

• Completes pick from locations and enters into ERP and/or on paper as necessary.

• Uses pallet jack and/or other material handling equipment (such as cart, pallet riders, reach lifts, forklifts etc.) to transport the order through the process.

• Securely stacks the cartons of product on pallets and verifies accuracy of pick.

• Uses stretch wrap machine and/or manual dispenser to wrap completed orders and prints required documents to complete/tag pallet.

• Returns paperwork to office for next instructions.

• Receives products and performs put away function.

• Loads and unloads pallets of fittings with the use of a forklift or other material handling equipment.

• Meets minimum productivity and accuracy measurements.

• Works in a safe and accident-free manner.

• Actively participates in housekeeping to keep the work area clean and orderly.

• Participates in LASCO physical inventories and other tasks as assigned.

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and/or Experience High School or equivalent. No experience is required due to extensive on-the-job training (however, general warehouse and forklift experience is preferred).

Language Skills Must possess average communication skills (both verbal and written) in order to effectively interact with customers, truck drivers, and others in the warehouse. Must be able to read sufficient English to follow written work instructions.

Mathematical Skills Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.

Reasoning Ability. Must be able to recognize problems due to mixed pallets and material that is in the wrong location to avoid shipping errors.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required to complete internal certification for lift operations.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The individual must be able to:1) spend a major part of the workday on their feet and walking, standing, climbing, and/or continuous lifting of cartons, 2) work irregular and/or extended hours on short notice, 3) must be able to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted and push or pull a pallet jack or platform cart and bend and stoop as needed to retrieve orders.
