WAREHOUSE WORKER Job at Big Island Candies
Location: Hilo, Hawaii (on The Big Island)
Big Island Candies is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to ensure accurate inventories and handling of ingredients, supplies, packaging materials and finished products. Requirements include learning and following various warehouse/factory operations, safety procedures and company policies.
Other duties include:
- Prepare pallets and load outgoing shipping containers as needed;
- Operate various warehouse equipment/tools: forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, etc.;
- Transfer finished goods to different departments within the facility;
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. (unassisted) and other physical demands, such as tolerate frequent changes in temperature (outdoors; warehouse; factory; chill room; freezer);
- Communicate inventory needs to production team;
- Maintain strong working relationship and lines of communication with different departments within the facility;
- Clean and maintain warehouse and chill-room areas;
- Use various computer software, including Microsoft Office.
Work hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Staggered shift, weekends and overtime may be required during peak/seasonal periods and depending on operational needs.
