Warehouse Worker Job Description
Essential Duties:
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by sweeping, keeping shelves, pallet area, bathrooms and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Operate forklift
- Report any order discrepancies or issues to management
Experience/ Skills
- Forklift certification and experience a plus
- Solid work history that demonstrates reliability; warehouse work experience is a plus
- Able to work on your feet for 8 hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in Extreme Temperatures: Cold in the winter/ Hot in the Summer
Physical Aspects of the job
- Frequently bending, twisting and rotating trunk, arms and legs
- Standing 100% of the time/walking 99% of the time/climbing 10% of the time
- Working with arms extended and bent constantly
- Frequently moving parts and stock weighing up to 35 pounds, 10 to 50 feet
- Occasionally moving parts and stock weighing up to 50 pounds; pushing and pulling
