This is a full-time position for a dependable and motivated individual to work in a team setting from our Ephrata location.

POSITION SUMMARY*
The mitigation technician works under the mitigation lead. Their responsibilities would entail taking and following direction from the lead and performing all tasks at hand that is associated with all jobs and daily tasks.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Receive work order and schedules from mitigation lead or supervisor.
  • Load supplies/equipment into vehicles at the start of a shift, unload at the end of the day, clean and return materials, and equipment to proper storage areas.
  • Drive van equipped with cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies to work site.
  • Drive and operate dump trucks.
  • Assist in placing air movers and dehumidifiers in proper room locations to remove moisture from carpet, upholstery, and air.
  • Perform basic demo tasks—cutting drywall, removing baseboards, and various flooring material.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, treats property and contents with respect and care, and bring any issues or customer concerns to the job leader.
  • Follow proper safety practices, wears personal protective equipment as appropriate (gloves, respirators, face shield, etc) while working.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, equipment, and job site.
  • Work overtime as needed (evenings and weekends). When possible, the manager will try to give 24-hr notification or check employee availability.
  • Must serve on the Emergency On-call rotation as scheduled and needed.
  • Inspect own work to ensure conformance to standards.
  • Learn about fire, smoke, and water damage restoration.
  • The technician would strive to become a lead tech and would be evaluated and trained to do so.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance.
  • Act professionally on jobsites and in the shop, including any time a company logoed uniform item is worn.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • High school education, or up to one month of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean MVR subject to a background check and access to dependable transportation.
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, carry equipment up/downstairs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience and/or certifications in the disaster restoration industry.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
