The role of Wellness Trainer will assist the Wellness Manager in supporting all Wellness Center programs and services that aim to enhance the wellness and quality of life of the residents who live at White Horse Village.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Wellness Center fitness floor while providing exceptional customer service to residents.
• Work collaboratively with Wellness Center team to support wellness program and services.
• Teach safe, effective and fun aquatic and land group exercise classes.
• Assist with resident recreational activities, programs and events.
• Schedule and perform resident training sessions and wellness assessments.
• Ensure that the Wellness Center fitness floor is clean, organized and that all equipment is working properly.
• Assist the Wellness Center team in developing effective exercise programs for residents transitioning from physical therapy.
• Instruct residents on how to use Wellness Center fitness equipment safely and correctly.
• Develop effective exercise programs and modify programs when necessary to help residents maximize their fitness.
• Assist with the administrative tasks of the Wellness Center: scheduling appointments, coordinating Wellness Center events and providing information about wellness programs and services to residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Exercise Sciences or other related field
• At minimum 1 year of personal training experience
• Personal Training Certification required
• Experience with senior population is a plus!
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Extreme customer service skills/mentality required!
