Summary: The individual in this position will work with the Data Communication Technician team remotely and on-site to oversee all of the field installation, repair, and service activities. The main focus of the job is to assist by providing support and guidance to the assigned group of technicians. The Field Manager assures the competent performance of all staff as reflected in quality workmanship and KPI goal achievement. Performs and conducts annual reviews along with providing ongoing open communication with the team to include coaching, mentoring, and career development on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Role and Responsibilities – Primary

  • Builds develops and manage a field resources team capable of carrying out the company’s operational strategies.
  • Establishes field operation standards and metrics report to track efficiency, quality control, cost, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
  • Tracks and reviews the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and reports the status weekly to senior management.
  • Meets with or calls team members regularly to discuss, convey, and document project plans, customer specifications, and deliverables required for said project.
  • Act as a senior-level advisor on technical issues to field resources and all levels of employees throughout the company when needed.
  • Maintains technical knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new technology, and applicable laws regarding human resources.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective system of communication throughout the team as well as the entire company.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for field resources hiring process, performance management, employee relations, and culture building.
  • Interprets company policies for field resources and enforces safety regulations.
  • Work with HR & Director of Field Operations in all Employee Relations matters, policies, job duties, working conditions, attendance, performance reviews, wages, etc.
  • Assists Fleet Management with tech-related correspondence and tasks.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Geographically located on the West Coast or PST time zone mandatory.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Ability to work as a team member, professionally handle confidential matters and lead and influence others to accomplish operational objectives.

· Leadership experience with Field Technicians.

· Ability to create training guidelines and initiate with the technicians.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, (Excel, MS Word)

· Must maintain avalid Driver’s License

· The license must be in good standing with no infractions within the last 3 years

· Must have and maintain high-high speed internet.

· Able to lift at least 50 lbs

· Able to climb a 12-foot ladder

· Ability to sit, stand, kneel and/or walk for long periods

· Available to work evenings, weekends

· Able to travel as needed

· Must be able to maintain a home office with sufficient privacy and free of distractions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
