Family Care Health Centers is seeking full-time experienced WIC Certifiers to work as an integral role in our growing health care team environment. These positions provide clerical support (answering telephone, scheduling appointments, etc.) for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program. These positions perform enrollment assessments and issue benefits as defined by Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Bureau of WIC and Nutrition Services. This includes, but is not limited to, collecting and reviewing documents to determine program eligibility: collecting and recording heights, weights and finger sticks and assessing immunization records. Must be able to navigate multiple computer systems, including electronic health record, and keep detailed records. Positions must be able to communicate effectively with other members of team to coordinate patient flow and create an efficient system and quality program. Will refer clients to appropriate community services such as food pantries, SNAP, Medicaid, etc. Positions must promote and support a woman's decision to breastfeed by maintaining a positive attitude and making appropriate referrals. Position will attend staff meetings and on-going training opportunities as offered. Must be able to work at both sites and must be able to work evenings and Saturdays when necessary. Positions are contingent upon continued WIC Funding. COVID vaccine, FLU vaccine and PPD screening are required for employment at FCHC. Position reports to the Nutrition Services Director.

Requirements:

*High School Diploma or GED Certificate required

*2+ years Medical Assistant or health care setting experience preferred

*2+ years experience with WIC Program preferred

*Excellent communication and customer service skills required

*Excellent organizational skills required

*Bilingual skills a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
