Wildland Fire Crew Boss / Engine Boss Job at Rocky Mountain Fire Company
Rocky Mountain Fire Company (RMFC) is hiring top level supervisors to operate wildland fire engines (ENGB) or a Type II IA handcrew (CRWB).
RMFC is a private wildland fire service provider located in Missoula, Montana. Our fire engines provide fire suppression in the Western United States. We have three twenty person Type 2 IA Handcrews. We are looking for experienced wildland firefighters who have obtained Engine Boss or Crewboss Single Resource certification with a history of safe driving and supervisory experience.
The Engine Boss leads a single fire engine and attached personnel and is responsible for their safety on wildland and prescribed fire incidents.
The Crew Boss leads a 20 person type II IA handcrew and is responsible for their health and safety as well as performance standards.
This is at will / seasonal work.
RMFC may be able to provide housing to qualified applicants. We have housing available in Idaho Falls Idaho for engine bosses and housing in Frenchtown Montana for Crew Bosses.
