We are looking for an Windows Engineer with to work Remote in Richmond, Clifton Forge,VA.
About the Role/Day to Day Duties and responsibilities:
- *Candidates must live in Virginia and be able to go to Clifton Forge, VA (not Clifton, VA) location to pick up laptop
- Candidates must be willing to come to Clifton Forge, VA once every 45-60 days for staff meeting **Microsoft Teams interviews only, must have Webcam for interview
- This position is a new role created to be the subject matter expert (SME) for our Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop environment.
- The role will be responsible for +150 servers across multiple environments and datacenters, and 200 Windows Desktops.
- This is not a helpdesk role. Desktop support will be managing the desktops using Group Policy/Active Directory.
- In depth Active Directory/Group Policy knowledge/experience is required. Azure IaaS experience would be a plus.
- The selected candidate will also assist in the maintaining, tuning, and hardening of the Microsoft 365 E5 solution that is already deployed.
- The selected candidate will be added to an on-call rotation that will be one week a month.
- Work requires excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with a high technical skill level.
- Position requires frequent interaction with employees, customers, technicians, analysts, and specialists to troubleshoot problems related to the use of single and/or multiple information systems.
- Work may include creation, installation, and modification of software, testing, and documentation on a variety of platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete assigned project responsibilities under limited supervision.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
