Job Description:

The Senior Solution Architect role serves as a key contributor to the strategy, design, implementation of HR technologies. This role will work closely with enterprise architecture and delivery teams to align solution design to strategic architectural framework. The person will a key design partner for both functional and technology delivery teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop best practices, standards, frameworks, and processes to support and facilitate API and integration development.

• Advise and enable technical and delivery teams in the development, performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring, and operations for integration solutions.

• Enable delivery teams to develop reusable assets.

• Partner with engineering and functional teams on solution design aligning to best practices.

• Champion alignment of solution delivery to strategic architectural direction.

• Work closely with Enterprise Architecture (portfolio) to ensure solutions design aligns to strategic direction.

• Leverages understanding of key technology and related trends, leading discussions about how new technologies apply and are to be incorporated into enterprise architecture and roadmaps.

• Provides thought leadership in innovation and technology approaches, both within the organization and externally, in the industry.

• Ensures technology solution and roadmap align with and support enterprise architecture.

• Strong business acumen to ensure solution design meets business needs and priorities.

• Serve as key contributor to Architecture Community of Practice forum.

• Leads the creation of system and application architectures and provides vision, problem anticipation, and problem-solving ability to the organization.

• Provides strategic guidance to engineering and functional teams.

• Partner with key business and technical leaders to build and maintain a solid understanding of the business strategies and priorities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field, OR equivalent work experience

• 8+ years experience in full development life cycle and significant experience in delivering applications and architecture services in a production environment.

• Deep understanding of the architecture discipline, processes, concepts, and best practices

• 5+ years experience in the implementation of structured design and architecture processes in a corporate environment.

• 5+ years implementing integration projects.

• 5+ years implementing integrating SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and legacy on premises applications.

• 5+ years and deep knowledge of Workday Integration and Reporting: Report Writer, BIRT, Workday Studio, Workday EIB and Workday Connectors.

• Cross functional Workday knowledge: Core HCM, Pay, Benefits, Talent, Time and Absence.

• Workday conversion and implementation experience.

• Experience designing, developing, securing, and managing APIs via API Gateways and proxies.

• Demonstrated proficiency in at least four of the following areas: business architecture, application architecture, data architecture, technical/infrastructure architecture, security disciplines, or operational disciplines

• Extensive knowledge of architectural patterns, APIs, microservices and cloud architecture

• Significant working experience architecting, engineering and operating cloud native solutions, establishing and leveraging Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service capabilities.

• Ability to integrate Enterprise Architecture processes with other planning and operational processes

• Ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of leadership

• Strong communication skills for creating and sharing presentations to multiple levels of stakeholders

• Excellent organization and planning skills
