The Role
This Workday Technical Analyst role will be focused on company-wide HR system deliverables and support. This is an individual contributor role to provide day to day support for Workday HR System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with HR and Business Partners to define HCM functional requirements including data, configuration, integration, and portal needs and translate into technical requirements.
- Design Workday configuration and reporting solutions for different HCM areas - focusing on Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking.
- Responsible for quality assurance, creation of test scripts and testing execution - ensure compliance with stabilization requirements.
- Develop documentation and training supporting system or process changes.
- Communicate system or process changes to users with varying technical knowledge.
- Advocate and influence HR solutions and inform on new trends and technologies.
- Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes, including technological and business process opportunities.
- Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting of our HCM Workday systems.
- Analyze data contained in Workday and other financially related applications and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implemented solutions.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in HR, MIS or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience with Payroll, Absence or Time Tracking modules in Workday.
- 5+ years of experience with configuration in a HR System (3+ years in Workday).
- 3+ years of experience with Workday Business Processes, Workday Reporting, EIBs.
- Knowledge and experience of transportation operations desired.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- High levels of emotional intelligence and the ability to connect with multiple diverse groups of employees.
- Demonstrated capability in adapting solutions and right sizing them to the needs of a fluid and fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization.
- Empathetic and engaging individual, who listens well, is responsive, solutions focused and results oriented.
- Driven to execution on promises.
