The Workers Compensation Claims Manager will evaluate, manage and influence Aya’s complex workers’ compensation claims

Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex workers’ compensation claims to reduce costs and improve outcomes.
  • Coordinate and oversee Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and defense attorneys on litigated matters.
  • Manage workers’ compensation litigation budgets, evaluate adequacy of case reserves and advise on adjustments where necessary.
  • Review and manage requests for investigations, discovery, and mediation/trial preparation in workers compensation matters.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of multi state workers compensation (complex, litigated cases) experience with insurance carrier, third party administrator or insurance broker
  • Strong analytical skills related to investigations, claims strategies and claims reviews
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong attention to details, including regular follow up on action items
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical treatment protocols, and legal proceedings
  • Ability to work in fast paced team environment, handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Experience in healthcare, staffing, or services industry a plus

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be an annual salary of $90,000 to $110,000.

The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager’s discretion.
