AePEX Energy operates two rail served import and transloading terminals to supply propane to our wholesale customers. This gives AePEX Energy the ability to obtain propane supplies from strategic propane storage facilities and production sites throughout the USA and Canada.

AePEX Energy operates a fleet of proprietary transports and contract through several common carriers to assure their customers receive propane on time and on budget.

We are in need of a full-time Yard Assistant in our Rosamond, CA location. This position will pay $21.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE.

Job Responsibilities:

• Spot, set brakes, chock and move rail cars.
• Inspect rail cars and transport trucks for proper safety equipment, valving and labeling.
• Inspect paperwork, including bill of ladings to confirm correct product.
• Load and unload rail cars, transports and bobtails according to strict safety operating procedures.
• Attend ongoing safety meetings. Be aware of all safety, operational and emergency procedures.
• Inspecting the rail tracks and spur for debris or hazards.
• Proper "weighing in and out" of trucks and transports and proper use of the truck scale.
• Paint and refurbish tanks
• Yard maintenance
• Performs other job duties as assigned by manager.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• General knowledge of various tools
• Customer service and communication skills
• Some computer experience is preferred
• Applicant must successfully pass a pre-employment background check
