PACT-Y Outreach Worker - Community Based
Waltham

Salary Range: $20.00-$22.00/Hour

Wayside Youth & Family Support Network’s Waltham site is hiring Outreach Workers for an innovative, evidenced based model of treatment in Massachusetts, the Program for Assertive Community Treatment for Youth (PACT-Y). This program is a DMH funded, intensive, self-contained, community-based program, serving youth and their families. We are looking for individuals who are open to working a flexible schedule.

What you will do:

• Provide culturally informed therapeutic interventions to children, young adults, and their families, that promote skill building in the life domains of: social functioning, symptom management, coping skills and activities of daily living.
• Collaborate with all members of the team to ensure continuity in treatment, services, and messages delivered.
• Provide both "soft" services (mentoring, counseling, skill-building) with identified clients as well as "hard" services including transportation, referrals, accessing concrete services such as furniture, food, etc.
• Serve as an advocate attend meetings with the family and as requested by the youth and/or family.
• Potential to take turn covering weekly on-call; compensated per on-call rotation.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma plus 5 years of experience working directly with children, young adults, and/or families OR
• Associates Degree in Social Work or related field plus at least 3 years’ experience working with children, young adults, and/or families OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field plus at least 1 year of direct experience working with children, young adults, and/or families
• Valid driver’s license/access to reliable automobile
• Ability to work at least 3 evenings a week, potential for weekend coverage.

We will train you in: Motivational Interviewing; Courageous Conversations; Attachment, Regulation and Competency Model (ARC); Trauma Informed Practice; Substance Use Intervention; Risk and Safety Assessment.
