Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time Youth Crisis Coordinator Therapist to respond to crisis mental health situations in the community for children 0-20. This position prepares safety plans, coordinates transition to out-patient and community based services, and provides after care therapy and care coordination direct services. Provides community based direct treatment services for children who have been assessed for danger to self or others who are either transitioning back from residential treatment or the local emergency department and their parents. Develops short-term individual treatment plans. Provides counseling and individual, family therapy and psycho-education. Participates on the Crisis Team rotation for back up of night time and day time crisis workers.


CHD WILL PAY UP TO $3500 IN RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AND UP TO $2000 TOWARDS FIRST MONTH RENT!


The Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a social sciences field required.
  • Two years of relevant mental health experience required.
  • Qualifies as a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional).
  • Must have or pursue MH Investigator/Examiner certification.
  • Certified as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor or begin certification process upon hire.
  • Knowledge of practices, principles and philosophy of mental health treatment crisis intervention and A&D Treatment, CBT, MI, and other therapy modalities.
  • Knowledge of assessment treatment planning and DSM V diagnoses, computer basics, and crisis counseling.
  • Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s license and pass a criminal history check and drug screening.
