Position Summary:

The Project Manager at Renova One will be responsible for leading and managing a 12-month, large-scale renovation of kitchens and bathrooms across a 1,000+ unit multifamily residential complex in Minneapolis. This high-visibility project requires a strategic, detail-oriented leader who can coordinate work in occupied units, navigate multi-phase construction logistics, and ensure quality finishes while meeting strict schedule and budget goals. The Project Manager will oversee the full project lifecycle, manage project teams, coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards. This role also includes risk management, quality assurance, and ensuring compliance with regulations, safety standards, and contract requirements.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Lead and manage the renovation of kitchens and bathrooms across 1,000+ occupied multifamily units, ensuring minimal disruption to residents
  • Plan and execute multi-phase construction schedules, coordinating unit turnover, materials delivery, and contractor schedules
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Monitor progress closely to ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality expectations
  • Oversee and coordinate the efforts of internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain efficient workflows and strong communication
  • Provide regular progress updates to ownership and stakeholders, promptly addressing scope changes, delays, or other project impacts
  • Identify and proactively address potential risks or bottlenecks before they affect project delivery
  • Review and approve estimates, schedules, and budgets, ensuring they are realistic and achievable
  • Enforce compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and all applicable regulations
  • Manage financial aspects of the project, including cost tracking, approving change orders, and maintaining budget integrity
  • Lead regular project meetings with both internal teams and external partners to keep all parties aligned
  • Foster a collaborative team culture that supports efficiency, accountability, and high-quality results
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess successes, identify opportunities for improvement, and apply lessons learned to future projects
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers or coordinators assigned to the project

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in project management within the construction, renovation, or related industries
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, etc.) and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, building codes, and safety regulations
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Strong understanding of financial management, including budget control and cost tracking
