At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in San Bernardino, CA ! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in San Bernardino, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in San Bernardino, CA
• Schedule: Flexible, 4-5 sessions per week
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
• Focus Area: Math, Writing, 7th Grade Science

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with nonverbal or minimally verbal students , especially those using AAC technology.
• Background in special education, early childhood education, speech support, or related fields preferred.
• Knowledge of multisensory and play-based instructional methods .
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Patience, empathy, and consistency in working with neurodiverse learners.
• Be comfortable adapting lessons to meet a nonverbal learner’s needs .
• Use music, visuals, and interactive tools to make learning engaging.
• Understand how to motivate through positive reinforcement and structured support .
• Be willing to collaborate with therapists and parents for consistent skill-building across settings.
• Find joy in small milestones and progress, fostering both academic and communication growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction in early literacy, math, and writing skills appropriate for a kindergarten level.
• Offer hand-over-hand guidance for writing and fine motor activities.
• Support letter and number identification , counting, and early reading skills through multisensory and interactive methods.
• Encourage communication through her iPad and limited verbal vocabulary , reinforcing functional language skills.
• Use music, visuals, and engaging activities to capture attention and build participation.
• Reinforce positive behaviors and follow strategies aligned with her speech and ABA therapy goals .
• Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that builds confidence and engagement in learning.
