Quality Manager | Grand Haven, MI

Salary Range: $87,000 - $133,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Oversee all product quality inspection, testing, and release processes to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances and customer complaints.
• Manage and monitor supplier quality performance, including audits and qualification processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the quality assurance team.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Strong proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and Lean Six Sigma.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience managing teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Relevant professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager/Organizational Excellence (CQM/OE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Demonstrated proficiency with advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Experience implementing or managing an electronic Quality Management System (eQMS)
