We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Scale House Attendant to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse by ensuring that all goods are properly handled, stored, and shipped. This position requires a proactive approach to tasks and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH , needs to understand and speak english. Spanish is the primary request. Would prefer they are fluent in both.
• Advanced computer skills
• Customer Service skills including speaking to customers and conflict resolutions
• Must be able to multitask
• Must be organized
• Must be able to math skills to calculate payments.
• Steel toed boots are okay, but not necessary in the scalehouse
• Serves as the first point of contact for customers depositing waste at a Waste Management Facility
• Calculates payments, checks loads, and ensures the safety of the customer and other employees through observation of safety rules and regulations.
• Other minor duties may be assigned.
• Greets customers, directs customers and other traffic, and answers questions accurately.
• Correctly calculates payments for customers.
• Ensures that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.
• Ensures that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Provides general upkeep of the Scale House.
• Completes all administrative tasks including regular filing, and completes required reports.
• Keeps immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention.
• Attends company sponsored training and meetings as directed.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including data entry and minor customer service responsibilities.
• Approaches all encounters with employees, customers and vendors in a friendly, service oriented manner.

Education and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or G.E.D, and zero to four years previous experience. Preferred: High school diploma or G.E.D, plus additional or specialized training, and zero to four years previous experience.

• Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements part of the work day.
• Normal setting for this job is: scalehouse.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
