Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field, active Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) certification, and 1+ years Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An educational opportunity is available for a dedicated professional skilled in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, as well as those with visual impairments. This K-12 role supports the academic and social growth of students within a structured school environment, fostering inclusive learning and specialized instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with hearing and visual impairments.
  • Utilize specialized teaching strategies and assistive technologies to enhance learning accessibility.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress.
  • Monitor and document student performance and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Provide advocacy and resources to empower students in their educational journey.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensure in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education, Visual Impairment education, or related fields.
  • Experience working with K-12 students with sensory impairments.
  • Strong communication and adaptive teaching skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse educational teams.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
