Technical Project Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and execute business-facing technology initiatives across our organization. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional IT teams to plan, coordinate, and deliver infrastructure and software projects that support internal business needs. You’ll manage the full project lifecycle—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning and execution of IT projects, particularly in areas like network infrastructure, systems, storage, and software applications.
  • Partner with teams across IT—Network, Applications, End User Experience, and Security—to drive project success.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define deliverables, and translate technical specifications into actionable plans.
  • Manage project timelines, dependencies, resource allocation, and vendor coordination.
  • Proactively track milestones, risks, and issues; provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Maintain technical understanding of projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Use project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) to manage project backlogs, schedules, and documentation.
  • Support cross-functional team alignment and facilitate resolution of priority conflicts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field—or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in IT, consulting, or the software/technology industry
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional IT projects
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methods
  • Experience working with internal teams and external service providers
  • Proficient in project planning tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with infrastructure environments (network, storage, systems)
  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Ability to coordinate projects across multiple time zones
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills
