Salary:

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the day-to-day operations and guest services of the Municipal Three-Hole Golf Course and Tennis Facilities. The Tennis/Golf Attendant works under the supervision of the Community Programs Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adheres to and upholds all rules and regulations. Enforces all Township policies regarding play and use of the Three-Hole Golf Course and Tennis Facilities.
  
• Act in a professional and positive manner by abiding by the dress code and upholding all Recreation policies.
  
• Present and available throughout the entire scheduled shift to assist guests.
• Communicates daily in a professional manner with other Township departments, tennis instruction professionals, and players.
• Assists with scheduling, informational, and operational needs of the players and tennis instruction professionals.
• Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and file as instructed.
• Process payments and inspects and secures facilities as required daily.

QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be at least age 16.
• Comfortable working with the public.
• Ability to work independently (in a single-person office), consistently, and resourcefully in a positive customer-service oriented manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with tennis professionals, players, and other Township departments such as Public Works and IT dept.
• Ability to communicate effectively on the phone, in person, and in writing in the English language.
• Ability to assist with emergency situations.
• Ability to separate and create a balance between work and personal life.
  

Education and Experience

• Basic writing and math skills for record keeping
• Familiarity with tennis and golf is helpful but not required

EQUIPMENT USED

• Phone, iPad, and other office items necessary for building, tennis court and golf course oversight.
