Position: Production Worker

Location: Hilo, HI

Experience: Previous production or warehouse experience is preferred

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Type: Full-time; Temp-to-Hire -- 9 months with possible extension

Pay: $15/hour PLUS continuous mentorship and assistance with progressive career placements

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking Production Workers to join our growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Packing meat in bags and cases for wholesale and retail sales
• Labeling bags/boxes
• Cutting and trimming meat
• Use of pallet jack
• Daily scrubbing and washing of machines, floors, and walls with soap and water
• Breakdown and put away incoming freight
• Load and unload shipments
• Ensure that all orders meet client specifications
• Adhere to and uphold strict health and safety guidelines

Position Requirements:

• Must be able to work in cool / refrigerated area, (temperature range from 30 - 50 degrees Fahrenheit)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Basic reading, writing and math skills required
• Ability to life up to 90 lbs
• A food handler's permit would be advantageous
• In-depth knowledge of state health and hygiene regulations for food handling and preparation
• Basic understanding of food production processes and best practices
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting
• Able to work with heavy products
• Strong attention to detail
