SUMMARY: Seasonal Shag Driver to operate gasoline or diesel powered tractor-trailer combination to transport and deliver products within the metro area. This is a seasonal role and candidates must be available to work either 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm) or 3rd shift (10:30pm - 7:00am).

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates semi-truck to transport product to destination in a safe manner
• Inspects truck for defects before and after trips
• Inspects orders to be loaded for accuracy and quality of product
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Insures proper marking is on boxes and labels
• Responsible for reporting food safety problems to management.
• Maintains attendance company standards.
• Works in a safe manner at all times
• Represents Airlite in a professional manner when dealing with customers
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to operate a manual transmission

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
• Minimum of three months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have valid CDL License, health certification and safe driving record

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports in English.
• Ability to speak effectively with company employees and supervisors.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Upholds and supports organizational goals and values.
• Take the initiative to ask for and offer help when needed.
