Qualified applicants MUST be currently licensed as USCG MMO with a minimum rating of 25-ton inland waterways. Any applicants that do not have the minimum qualifications will not be considered. Boat Captains operate a fleet of vessels owned by Gozzer Ranch Golf and Lake Club for the purpose of transportation passengers on Lake Coeur d’Alene. Captains should be outgoing individuals that enjoy spending time with children and adults.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect Gozzer Ranch passenger vessels on at the beginning of each shift for proper safety equipment, damage, function and cleanliness.
• Use all vessel electronics at a proficient level.
• Must be able to operate vessels in a safe manner in all safe weather conditions including nighttime hours.
• Must be knowledgeable with local waterway laws as well as USCG laws.
• Maintains radio report of departures with passenger count to Gozzer Ranch security.
• Record vessel fuel expenses in fuel log.
• Complete daily shift activities pertaining to the boat in the boat log.
• Performs emergency duties in the event of fire, accident or other disaster on property and waterways.
• Always provide safe transportation of passengers.
• Attend all job-related meetings.
• Report any mechanical or safety related issues to the Fleet Manager immediately.
• May be asked to fill shift vacancies during illnesses or special events.
• Be motivated and engage the membership while promoting the family friendly lifestyle and culture of Gozzer Ranch.
