The Franklin Public Schools, a Prek-12 district, is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated individual to work as an ABA tutor in our district Partner Programs. The Partner Programs are classrooms supported by both the Franklin Public Schools and the New England Center for Children (NECC). Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the program is designed to help children diagnosed with Autism reach their full potential. The students receive highly specialized instruction to each child with inclusion opportunities provided and supported as appropriate.

The ABA Tutor position is a year round position. This work is performed in the classroom under the direct supervision of a Masters level Lead Teacher and BCBA supervisor. Training is provided and is on-going.Job Responsibilities of the ABA Tutor include: Ensure the safety of all studentsAssist in the planning and implementation of academic and behavioral programming for assigned student in collaboration with other members of the team Recording and summarizing dataFacilitate opportunities for generalization and maintenance of skillsCollect data on targeted skillsAssist with writing progress reports Relay parent concerns or information to the appropriate supervisor/ teacherCarrying over therapies across the students day (OT, PT, Speech and Language)Modifying general education curriculum/expectations to meet students needs and skill level to insure successful inclusion experiencesActively participate in ongoing trainingPerform tasks as assigned by the Partner Classroom Teacher and specialists and supervisors as neededWork closely with other team membersProvide parent training during school hoursMaintain high level of ethical behavior and confidentialityHours: Summer and School year 35 hours/weekSalary: $25.00/hourWe understand that our collective success depends on the robust exchange of ideasan exchange that is best when the rich diversity of our perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences flourishes.
