Job Title: Academic Interventionist / Monitor - Page Elementary
4th - 5th grade students
Job Summary:
The interventionist will provide academic support for low performing students to help improve their achievement in Reading. This position will also monitor students in the cafeteria and at recess.
Terms of Employment:
Monday - Friday
4.25 hours interventionist, 2.5 hours monitor per day (6.75 hours total per day)

Qualifications:
High School Diploma required
Teaching Certificate preferred
Strong technology skills
Works well in a team environment
Background working with elementary students
Flexible, patient, caring, and enjoys working with students
Good problem solving, organizational and communication skills

Job Responsibilities:
1. Analyze data to monitor student academic performance.
2. Communicate with teachers and parents to plan interventions for students showing difficulties.
3. Create and implement academic interventions for students.
4. Work with elementary students to improve math and reading skills.
5. Administer assessments and analyze data to inform instruction and prescribe work plans for individual students, e.g., MTSS, MStep, MAP, IXL, classroom summative assessments.
6. Use technology to organize data and interventions.
7. Develop student caseloads and focus of content as dictated by continuously updated achievement data.
8. Communicate regularly with regular classroom teachers regarding the needs and progress of 31a caseload.
9. Manage state reporting of 31a students and interventions provided.
10. Maintain appropriate relationships with students: modeling appropriate communication, showing respect and support, promoting independent thinking and promoting good listening skills.
11. Respect the right to privacy of each child and family served.
12. Attend trainings as assigned by building principal/Curriculum Director.
13. Other duties as assigned by building principal or Curriculum Director
