Job description
Established in 1876, the Lewis Bear Company has been a locally-owned and operated distribution company for five generations. It is the oldest privately held corporation in Florida and Anheuser-Busch’s oldest continuous distributor. Our territory is Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Jackson, Calhoun, Franklin and Gulf Counties in Florida.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Non-Alcoholic Brand Representative is the primary contact with Suppliers and must be up to date on internal and external performance and trends
- Work with appropriate Suppliers to develop The Lewis Bear Company's annual Non-Alcoholic Business Plan
- Establish sales, distribution, shelf space, point-of-sale and display standards.
- Communicate with sales staff on a regular basis regarding brand performance, price promotions and opportunities, and provide product knowledge training
- Communicate chain programs to Key Account Managers, Area Sales Managers, Off Premise Sales Manager and Salesmen
- Work with Inventory manager to provide timely inventory info
- Attend all supplier and internal sales meetings
- Coordinate new product introductions through samplings, point-of-sale, and events
- Attend all Non-Alcoholic resets and work with Pensacola branch to make sure The Lewis Bear Company is represented during resets
- Hand sell Non-Alcoholic Brands into targeted accounts based on volume or branch opportunity
- Provide Recap of Time in Market and Maintain assigned call frequency in targeted accounts
- Manage all bill back programs with Supplier and Accounts Receivable
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or 3 years related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages
- Ability to safely operate company vehicle
- Must be proficient using company computer software and hardware and adaptable to new technology and able to write routing reports and correspondence
- Must be able to work 50+ hours per week including evenings and weekend work.
- Compensation for this position is salary + bonus. Total compensation approximately $58,000 - 61,000/yr
- A valid driver’s license is required with less than 6 points in the previous 3yr period
