Ready to join in? We are looking for an Accountant to join our growing team. This full-time position is best suited for a detail-oriented and organized individual that will bring professionalism, a strong attention to detail, and time management. The position provides flexibility to be remote but with the ability to periodically come into the corporate office in Westchester, IL as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist controllers in maintaining general ledger, reconciling balance sheet and income statement accounts, and processing financial statements.
  • Process standard journal entries including depreciation, bank transfers, loan payments, interest payments and physician draws. Prepare calculations necessary to provide accurate journal entries.
  • Responsible for set-up and processing of employee expense reports within online expense reporting system, ExpenseWire.
  • Prepare daily/monthly Cash Reports.
  • Produce monthly financial reports.
  • Generate monthly/quarterly invoices.
  • Assist accounts payable including processing check requests, matching invoices to purchase order and receiving reports. Batch invoices and runs control totals on amounts and account numbers.
  • Help with other accounting-related duties.
  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality.
  • Stays abreast of and comply with all state and federal laws, including HIPAA, ADA, OSHA, and FLSA.
  • Adapt to change in positive and professional manner.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 2 years of accounting experience required, experience in the healthcare field a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create concise, high quality reports.
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel a plus

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • CPA preferred, not required
