Position Title: Financial Analyst / Accountant

Department: Finance

Reports to: Controller

In conjunction with the mission, vision and values of Star Valley Health this position is responsible for assisting the CFO and Controller with various accounting and financial functions. Those functions include budget preparation and reporting, analytical reviews of data, and other general accounting responsibilities. This is an “at will” position.

Expectations and Job Duties

Working collaboratively as an effective team member, ensuring that Star Valley Health has accurate, timely, and insightful financial and operations information to make business decisions. Some of the job duties of the position include:

• Assisting with the overall financial operations including accounting, budgetary, audits, and financial planning activities within the organization.
• Assisting the Controller to ensure the organization meets necessary financial regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Reconciles monthly bank statements including payroll, general and other.
• Prepares, enters and distributes general ledger journal entries for completion of the monthly financials and assists in preparation of the financials.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliation. Prepares account or sub-ledger analysis with strong audit documentation support.
• Prepares and maintains information for interim and annual audits and analyzes various accounts as needed.
• Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
• Monitor and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare monthly statistical and benchmarking reporting including leading key performance indicators of the healthcare industry.

• Ability to manage a multifaceted job and ensure delivery of desired outcomes.

Experience & Education:

• Requires Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three (3) years progressive accounting experience in complex environment.
• Healthcare accounting experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year
