Accounting Associate II (Carlyle, IL) Job at The Maschhoffs
Duties & Functions:
- Track inventory by location for all business units and perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Responsible for daily calculation of contract pricing for products and services sold internally and externally (animals, feed, supplies, transport, environmental, other services, etc.)
- Post animal/product movements into the production system
- Track volume commitments against sales contracts and communicate discrepancies in pricing or order completeness
- Manage large database files used for capturing large volumes of data and reporting KPI’s across the business at various levels
- Execute proven reporting processes that ensure daily, weekly, and monthly reports are accurate and distributed timely
- Collaborate with Accounting team and other customers, demonstrating a customer focused approach and eliciting effective feedback to ensure team and customer satisfaction
- Maintain records in accordance with company policies
- Complete special projects/reports as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelors Degree preferred, Majoring in Business
Experience
Five Years
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Business processes and related Accounting best practices and procedures
- Process documentation of accounting procedures
Skilled In:
- Highest level of integrity and trust
- Adaptation to new and changing technology and environment
- Software programs, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Time Management, multi-tasking, and prioritizing
Ability to:
- Prepare and present verbal and written reports, presentations, and recommendations
- Communicate effectively
- Establish effective working relationships with others, especially peers
- Make sound business decisions
- Work independently and manage time effectively in order to meet individual goals and deadlines
